Had the Republicans not destroyed the Affordable Care Act, (with, of course, John Faso’s vote), and if we could get a Congress that would pass a single payer system, roughly $100 billion would be added to the provision of medical care. This is because while Medicare’s overhead rate is around 5%, private insurers take at least 20% in overhead and profit. Faso has a slick pack of lies claiming that the bill he supported will actually help more people and cut costs – the opposite is true. So if you really want a health care system that works for all of us, throw him out and elect an honest Congressional representative.
