Faso did it again – working hard to destroy the environment. This time he voted for a bill that would generally prohibit EPA and states from requiring that entities applying pesticides near navigable waters must first obtain a permit under the Clean Water Act, if the application is authorized under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA)

With all the lies coming from Trump, his staff, Ryan, Faso, and all the other GOP “all for the rich” Congressional representatives, it is important that we not let each new lie lead to our forgetting the older ones. Here is a very partial list, from the NY Times, of just a few of Trump’s lies: “Barack Obama’s birthplace, Obama’s phone “tap,” John F. Kennedy’s assassination, Sept. 11, the Iraq war, ISIS, NATO, military veterans, Mexican immigrants, Muslim immigrants, anti-Semitic attacks, the unemployment rate, the murder rate, the Electoral College, voter fraud, the size of his inaugural crowd, his health care bill, and his own groping of women.”
Had the Republicans not destroyed the Affordable Care Act, (with, of course, John Faso’s vote), and if we could get a Congress that would pass a single payer system, roughly $100 billion would be added to the provision of medical care. This is because while Medicare’s overhead rate is around 5%, private insurers take at least 20% in overhead and profit. Faso has a slick pack of lies claiming that the bill he supported will actually help more people and cut costs – the opposite is true. So if you really want a health care system that works for all of us, throw him out and elect an honest Congressional representative.

John Faso promised a constituent suffering from a brain tumor that he would never take any action to limit her access to health care. Yesterday he voted to take away her coverage. Obviously if she is not rich and a big donor her life means nothing to him. John Faso talks about cutting federal involvement in state affairs. But he is co-sponsoring a national concealed weapon bill that would permit anyone from a state allowing concealed weapons to carry in all states. How do you feel knowing that any tourist or traveler you meet may be carrying a concealed weapon, especially in light of the ongoing spate of crazy shootings in other states (like Texas)?
